An initial partnership between the Patrice Pichet Group and EDF has already resulted in the design of a range of passive houses (SOLEA models) that consume four times less energy and emit four times less greenhouse gases than a traditional house.
These models have been marketed since April 2008. In order to consolidate this partnership, initial testing is underway for implementing photovoltaic solutions on residential buildings.
Signing this co-operation agreement will systematise the use of environmentally friendly construction techniques, increase the synergy of research and development efforts and strengthen communication operations with the general public and institutions to help build a sustainable future.
